ARTHRITIS

Arthritis is a condition causing swelling, tenderness, pain, and stiffness in one or more joints. Symptoms usually worsen with increasing age and reduced activity levels. Osteoarthritis occurs due to cartilage breakdown, while rheumatoid arthritis develops when the immune system attacks joint lining tissues. Early diagnosis, lifestyle modification, physiotherapy, and medications help reduce pain and improve joint mobility effectively.

KNEE REPLACEMENT

Knee replacement surgery, also called knee arthroplasty, helps relieve severe knee pain and restore normal function. Damaged bone and cartilage are removed and replaced with artificial components made of metal and high-grade plastic. Orthopedic surgeons assess knee strength, stability, and movement before surgery. Proper rehabilitation after surgery supports faster recovery, improved mobility, and better quality of life.

SPINE SURGERY

Minimally invasive spine surgery uses advanced instruments and modern technology to treat spinal conditions through smaller incisions. This approach reduces tissue damage, blood loss, and infection risk compared to traditional open surgery. Patients usually experience less postoperative pain and quicker recovery. Conditions like disc herniation, spinal stenosis, fractures, and deformities can be effectively managed with this technique.

TRAUMA

Orthopedic trauma surgery focuses on treating injuries caused by road accidents, falls, sports incidents, or industrial mishaps. These injuries may include fractures, joint dislocations, ligament tears, or complex spinal and pelvic trauma. Experienced trauma surgeons provide emergency care, stabilization, and surgical treatment. Timely intervention ensures proper bone healing, functional recovery, and prevention of long-term disability or complications.

HIP REPLACEMENT

Hip replacement surgery involves removing a damaged or arthritic hip joint and replacing it with an artificial implant. It is recommended when pain affects daily activities and conservative treatments fail to provide relief. The procedure improves joint movement, reduces discomfort, and supports better walking ability. Structured physiotherapy and rehabilitation help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.

ARTHROSCOPY

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive keyhole surgery used to diagnose and treat joint problems using a small camera and specialized instruments. It is commonly performed for sports injuries affecting the knee, shoulder, or ankle. Benefits include smaller scars, less pain, reduced infection risk, and faster return to routine activities. Many procedures are completed as safe day-care surgeries.

SPORTS INJURIES

Sports injuries occur due to sudden impact, overuse, or improper training techniques during physical activities. Common conditions include ligament tears, meniscal injuries, muscle strains, tendon ruptures, and joint fractures. Treatments such as arthroscopic reconstruction, physiotherapy, and regenerative therapies like PRP help restore stability. Proper conditioning, warm-up routines, and protective equipment reduce injury risk and support performance.

MENISCAL INJURIES

Meniscal injuries involve damage to the cartilage cushioning inside the knee joint, often occurring during sports or twisting movements. Symptoms include pain, swelling, locking, and limited motion. Arthroscopic surgery allows precise repair or removal of damaged tissue depending on severity. Advanced treatments like cartilage restoration procedures support healing, improve knee function, and enable gradual return to activities.

PEDIATRIC ORTHOPAEDICS

Pediatric orthopedics deals with bone, joint, and muscle conditions affecting children during growth. Treatment approaches differ from adults because developing bones have unique healing patterns. Conditions include congenital deformities like clubfoot, limb length differences, and developmental hip disorders. Early diagnosis, bracing, physiotherapy, or corrective surgery helps ensure proper growth, mobility, and improved long-term functional outcomes.
